Hollywood Burbank Airport Replacement Passenger Terminal

A new 14-gate, 355,000 sq ft terminal with expanded passenger amenities, relocated to the northeast quadrant of the airport to improve safety, operational efficiency, and traveler experience.

General Contractor: Holder, Pankow, TEC Joint Venture (HPTJV)

Groundbreaking / Construction Start: January 2024

Expected Completion & Opening: October 2026 (with operations beginning thereafter).

Project Cost: $1.3 Billion (GMP)

Function: Replaces the aging 1930s terminal with a modern facility offering improved safety (including seismic compliance and greater distance from runways), enhanced security, expanded concessions, centralized check-in and baggage services, and better passenger circulation while maintaining 14 gates and adding parking and support facilities.
